About Me

I work for a federal contractor in DC and try travel as often as possible. Couchsurfing has been an integral part of my travels and I love the community!

Feel free to send me a message!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I had my first experience as an actual surfer in Karlovy Vary and it was wonderful! We had nowhere to stay for the half marathon we were about to participate in and the couch request was very last minute, but Betty was the best and I saw how truly great CS could be. Her and her mother welcomed us with open arms and supported us through the post-run delirium.

I've hosted, three times so far, however, and am looking to meet more people in the process. My current living situation does not allow me to accept couchsurfers but I am open to meeting up if I can. I go to a lot of CS events and have met people that way, too.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

It's easy to forget your accomplishments when you're always busy setting the next goal! :-)

Here are a few: I attended/participated in Venice Carnivale, Munich's Oktoberfest, and Bonnaroo music festival in Tennessee. I've also been to the top of Mount Vesuvius, traversed a cloud forest in Costa Rica and hiked the camino primitivo in Northern Spain.

Most recently, I hiked 60+ miles on the Salkantay Trek in Cusco, Peru.

Teach, Learn, Share

I try to embarrass myself at least once a day. Humility is key in life. And if you can't laugh at yourself, then you have no sense of humor.

Countries I’ve Visited

Andorra, Austria, Bahamas, Belgium, Canada, Costa Rica, Czech Republic, England, France, Germany, Greece, Guatemala, Hungary, Iceland, India, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Mexico, Morocco, Nepal, Netherlands, Northern Ireland, Palestine, Panama, Peru, Poland, Portugal, Scotland, Slovakia, Spain, Tajikistan, Turkey, Uzbekistan, Vatican City State, Viet Nam
