ABOUT ME

I'm a 21 year old student studying Biology & Music. I would describe myself as laid back, and I love living life to the fullest, appreciating all the experiences I have. I love traveling to new cities, and since I began learning Japanese about a year ago I've been extremely interested in going to Japan.

I go to college in Florida, and when I'm not in school I live at home with my mom and our 3 cats.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I'm new to CS and haven't hosted anyone through this site, but a few years ago my family hosted a foreign student for a month (from Spain), so I can understand how it would be a valuable experience to stay with and learn from someone in the area you're traveling to, or to get to know and learn from someone traveling to your area.

Interests

I'm interested in music, nature/biology/animals, and many more things. I love listening to/playing/composing music (I play flute and guitar), and because of my love of animals I am vegan (do not eat meat, fish, eggs, or dairy).

In my free time I love watching anime, and honestly that was a big part of what initially made me want to learn to speak and write Japanese!

Other interests: I love cooking & baking (and I have an obsession with tea), computers, art, reading & movies (expecially science fiction), writing poetry & fiction, yoga, running, and philosophy. As well, I love learning languages!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I canoed and camped around the everglades (small islands in Florida) for a week with some classmates, and it was one of the best things I've done in my life.
