ABOUT ME

Hello! I'm Jens, originally from Kalmar on the Swedish east coast, but now residing in Malmö in the south west. During the first years after high school I travelled extensively in Latin America and Asia but since 2008 I have had a steady base in Malmö. Here I study to become a psychologist one day. When not studying I enjoy playing the guitar and taking care of the allotment patch with I share with some friends. I also enjoy vegan cooking and through out a large part of the year I miss going swimming in the sea. Also since I study at Lund University I have to hitchhike back and forth every day. A mini adventure everyday and in four years and hundreds of people only one or two experiences that was not only positive. Highly recommended!

Last semester I studied sociology in Cairo. Intersting discipline in a very interesting place! Very different from reading about it in Swedish mainstream press. That was crazy in many way. But at the same time it was not. What I liked most was the everyday life; having tea and playing backgammon, walking along the nile and of course the people.

Now I am back in Malmö to finish my studies and soon Cairo seems as far away in memory as in distance.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Standing on the Kasr al Nil-bridge at night with the whole city around me and the nile floating underneath me.Or when an a fjord in Lofoten, Norway we saw an eagle hovering not to far above our heads.
