About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To be Happy!

ABOUT ME

I love pyjamas! They're so cozy and cute. My goal in life is to own as many different types of pyjamas as there are countries...no, wait...CITIES in the world. To think, my high school teachers said I had no ambition!

So yeah, I'm a bit kooky (weird, in a good way) and I have a wry sense of humour. I also have very fair skin, and burn easily in the sun! I have freckles too! None of this helps you understand me better, but this is what comes out of me when asked to write a paragraph about me.

Hope this helps...

PHILOSOPHY

I haven't quite figured this out yet....I'm hoping to get some perspective in the coming years.

Music, Movies, and Books

I grew up to the music of The Beatles. My dad is a die-hard fan and I have been listening to their songs since I was a few months old I would guess. When Paul McCartney came to Quebec City to give a free concert my dad called me up and we went together. It was unbelievable. He had been to a Montreal show in 1964 when he was only 16!! It was a great experience and I loved sharing it with my dad!

I love to read. My mom used to pretty much shove books down my throat, and it stuck. I was the type of reader who sneaked a flashlight under the covers! Nowadays I don't need to do that, so I can often be found at 2am in my lay-z-boy rushing to finish my book before going to bed. I read lots of fluff fiction because it's a no-brainer. I'll read pretty much anything eventually though.

I am a big fan of Harry Potter, Gilmore Girls and chick flicks. Pretty run of the mill tastes. I'll watch sci-fi as well, like the Matrix. Firefly was a great series that died way before its time. I like smart comedy, not really into poo and pee humor.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

My 97 year old great-aunt moved 6,000 kilometers in order to be closer to her remaining siblings. She sold the house she had lived in with her husband for 60 years, packed up her stuff and moved to a small house with a garden one kilometer away from her brother. She lives alone, loves teasing everyone, and is growing enough stuff in her garden to feed a family of 4. I hope I grow old with even half the joie-de-vivre that she has!

Teach, Learn, Share

I am very good at teaching people things. English or french as a second language perhaps? Or cooking? I am patient and willing!

I would love to learn a third language...and a fourth and a fifth if possible!
