Overview
About Me
I live in Washington DC and work for a private firm in nearby Bethesda. In 2008, I moved to Paris for a 7-month self-funded "sabbatical." Turned out to be a good decision and I had a great time. I met lots of interesting people, learned a little French and was able to really relax. I've been back in DC for a long time now but still think fondly of my time in Paris and contemplate going back.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I like meeting new people and I enjoy travel. I've hosted twice it went well. Still, I think meeting for coffee makes more sense. I'm pretty busy and can't host often, unfortuantely. (You can ask, just don't be surprised if I say no.)
Interests
I like to travel. I love the movies, reading (mostly fiction, but also news), spending time with friends, walking, biking, yoga, and coffee. I'm also an avid knitter.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
For me it's more the little things--so the process of hiking to Machu Pichu was much more memorable than the actual place--not that it wasn't amazing! Getting to see buildings and art that I love in person is great. And...I actually find it amazing when I return to cities after a decade and can still find my way around.
