About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Trying to convince myself into liking Vienna.

ABOUT ME

Bad in describing myself. Student of cultural anthropology. Prefer moving to different countries over travelling. Love the smell of coffee but would pick tea over it instead. Awfully afraid of dead birds. Not a big fan of wintertime. Love to sing. Don't have a band but would enjoy playing music with people if anyone feels like doing that. Easy-going. Enjoying getting lost. Lived in Istanbul for 10 months. Want to go back. Was a volunteer in Braga (Portugal) for 9 months. Don't really want to go back. Should learn German. The worst dancer in the whole world. Pub person. Have a lot of free time and always up for meeting new people. Still discovering Vienna.

PHILOSOPHY

The joy of life comes from our encounters with new experiences, and hence there is no greater joy than to have an endlessly changing horizon, for each day to have a new and different sun. (C.M.)

Why I'm on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Hosting/surfing/attending events.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Only good ones. Except for that one time when my friend & me waited for quite some time in front of Moroccan train station, waiting for our host who never showed up.

Interests

Anthropology, singing, music, culture, people, traveling, photography, documentary making. Basically everything except for mathematics.

Music, Movies & Books

Arrgh, this is changing too often but I would recommend everyone to check the band called House of Trees, try to read Origins by Maalouf and see Crossing the Bridge: The Sound of Istanbul (doc).

I would also recommend Breaking Bad but everyone saw that already :)

One Amazing Thing I've Done

Was a part of music-orchestra-caravan that spent almost a month touring Czech, Poland, Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, Sweden and Finland learning from each-other. Didn't know anyone before got there, had the best time of my life, fell in love with music all over again. And now I want to go back. Why oh why.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you how to roll a cigarette in any weather. How to get lost. How to play Jamb - a game with dice that my family is obsessed with. Some basic things about singing.

Countries I've Visited

Albania, Austria, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Czech Republic, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Hungary, India, Italy, Kosovo, Latvia, Lithuania, Macedonia, Montenegro, Morocco, Poland, Portugal, Serbia, Slovakia, Sweden, Togo, Turkey, United Kingdom

Countries I've Lived In
