About Me

Hi, I am a student who loves to travel and takes every opportunity to see the big wide world outside of Australia. I am currently travelling around Europe, and decided to do it mainly by bike. I love trying new things and try to say yes to every opportunity offered.

I am looking to meet like minded people and experience a more authentic side to the places I visit, mainly the reason why I embarked across Europe on my two wheels. Food and local history are two things I have loved discovering in the small villages and towns I have passed through, Australia while fantastic in many aspects is such a young country and simply doesnt compare to Europe with its rich historical and cultural roots.

I am an easy going individual and looking forward to meeting many new friends in my adventures.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

A friend reccomended couchsurfing as a way to meet new people, but also enjoy a more authentic local experience. This rung true to me as I am looking for a more relaxed but also genuine stay in the places I visit. I am lucky to have travelled a lot, and have tried out hostels as well as airbnb, and couchsurfing offers an amazing alternative to the usual tourist beat.

Interests

Growing up in Melbourne, it is difficult not to be surrounded by sport and as such I am very much devoted to it. AFL (Australian rules football) is my passion and a long suffering supporter of a very bad team :( I also love to watch Basketball and cricket during the summer months. I also enjoy running and cycling to keep fit, as well as the occasional yoga session (still learning the ropes).

When time permits I head overseas in search of snow. I love to ski and have travelled to New Zealand, Japan and Canada on some amazing snow trips. During the summer months I love to waterski also, Victoria having some great spots to relax over the summer break.

I grew up around horses so love to horse ride when I find the time. I have been fortunate to horse ride through Turkey and Botswana in my travels. Hiking is a new passion of mine after travelling to Nepal, and am eager to explore more mountains down the track.

I have been working in the food and wine industry for a few years now, so I have developed a love for cheese, wine and cured meats through my work. However it is not the healthiest of passions!

In my downtime, I am an avid reader and love to explore different music genres as well.
