ABOUT ME
Hi! My name is Jeremy Doran, I'm a third year at the University of Texas at Austin studying government and communication with dreams of someday practicing immigration law. I grew up in a tiny town in the desert, and never really got the chance to travel. I love meeting new people and experiencing a city through the eyes of a person who lives there - so I'm looking to travel as much as possible now that I finally have the opportunity!

I enjoy indie, electronic, and alternative music: Khai, Lorde, Father John Misty, Chastity Belt, Seafret, Lord Huron, The Neighbourhood, Prelow, Tove Styrke, Fleet Foxes, Aurora, Jon Bellion, Blackbear, Khalid, Purity Ring, and The Japanese House are all very important to me.

MOVIES/TV SHOWS
Anything legal/dark/criminal/suspenseful. Think Gone Girl, Stranger Things, How to Get Away With Murder, Criminal Minds, Pulp Fiction, The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, Léon The Professional, Bokeh, Black Mirror, and Narcos.

BOOKS
I love reading and prefer nonfiction books about law/immigration/social movements/refugees. Assembly, Twitter & Teargas, Refuge: Rethinking Refugee Policy in a Changing World, The Crow-Girl, and anything by John Grisham are all favorites right now.

After graduating high school, a friend of mine and I drove all the way around the US and most of Canada in one summer! It was my first experience traveling long distance and I immediately knew I wanted more.
