About Me

I'm an easy going individual who enjoys meeting genuine people regardless of their views or beliefs. By "genuine" I mean people that respect, appreciate, show compassion for and enjoy fellowship with others and that are open to sharing their knowledge as well as being open to learning from others.

I love being outdoors doing most anything. I'm a big DIY individual and love learning new skills and how things work.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm realizing more with each passing day as to how short life is so I'm hoping to get out and do the things I enjoy on a more frequent basis. It would really be cool to meet individuals who enjoy similar things as myself or that would like to introduce me to different activities that they are passionate about.

I've taken a few fast paced road trips before which have been awesome experiences and I'd love to do more traveling but with allowing more time along the way and I think this "Couchsurfing" idea would make the traveling experience so much better for a number of reasons. First off meeting new "genuine" individuals in any fashion always leaves me with an excitement and pleasant feeling that there's still great people in this world, this feeling gets lost by watching too much media coverage with all the terror and dismay that's aired. Having some company at the day's end to share experiences with would be awesome and even better if that company can provide some great incite of the areas next to be explored.

I've been reflecting on life the past few years and have concluded that all of my greatest memories were mainly due to the connection with the company that was present with me at the given time. The satisfaction of fellowship with selfless individuals can't be rivaled by anything else is what I've come to conclude.

Music, Movies, and Books

Country, Rock, Pop, Oldies, Beach Music, I'm easy to please

Teach, Learn, Share

My strong points as for possibly sharing, teaching or assisting others would be more in the mechanical or electrical arena. I've always enjoyed learning how things work so that I can fix them when they break.

My most recent interest is enduro riding / trail riding on dirt bikes. I'm a fair rider but would really like to improve on some skills in this area and it would really be awesome to ride with others and to explore new trails across God's creation.

I enjoy learning about things and sharing what I've learn with others that take interest. I don't easily retain trivial knowledge but learning how things are made and function has always interested me.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Easy going and enjoyable conversation and probably some funny stories when the conversation strikes up some old memories.

I'm a fairly good handyman so if you've got a problem that's not too extensive to repair and that's in my realm of knowledge and available time frame then maybe we could consider it a barter out for my stay if you hosted me ;)
