Overview
About Me
I'm a young retiree on an epic quest. I like to immerse myself in local cultures and relax. I'm well-traveled and would love to share some stories. I'm not a typical American; my mother was/is a travel agent and I grew up on the road. I've been to 5 continents, 53 countries, and I crave more. This voyage started 4 July 2016 and its been an incredible journey.
Professionally, I've been an orbital engineer, executive manager, director, instructor, consultant, programmer, cook, vintner, and landlord.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
While traveling, I like to put myself in situations where I meet new people. Hostels are a common method, but sometimes I want more of a one-on-one experience, particularly with locals.
Interests
Personally, I enjoy hiking, sailing, running, cycling, tennis, cooking, wine/beer tasting, and friendly discussions.
