About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Be a better writer. Graft rigor to my life.
ABOUT ME
Brooklyn denizen at the moment. I write about film and photography when I have time and thoughts.
Talkative or some variant of it--gratingly, I've heard verbose and loquacious used to define me--often comes up. Myself, i'd much prefer fluent or voluble.
Weird or bizarre has been bandied. Not terribly sure why. Whose normal these days?
Outgoing. I'm chronically planning or compacting some event or activity into my days. Good friend in New Orleans dropped that my absence (I've recently left)is hard to miss--schematically she seeks me out at any festival, event, or gathering as a matter of habit.
I like to be all over the map.
PHILOSOPHY
be excellent to each other
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
As a friendly face and greeter to the teeming stream of CSers who pass through my apartment of 4 CS hosts. I don't often host, but I do often co-host, taking up a CSers when the house finds itself in a CS scheduling bind.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I have surfed now over five times, all during a wandering tour from New Orleans to Vancouver. I am still amazed at the hospitality and generosity of my hosts during the ever-so-brief time I was with them. I was treated like an old friend in Sante Fe, given my own room in Las Vegas, and shown around the neighborhood irrigation system (I expressed interest in reviewing the acequia lines) during the morning while in Albuquerque. And all hosts graciously took time out of their schedules to open their doors and lives to a lively traveler. I just want to be able to host when I finally settle down in New York.

Music, Movies, and Books
Movies and music run the gamut. My interests run across the genres. Discovering new music counts as one of my favorite experiences.
As of late, my reading list consists of film criticism, Borges, and Focault--lite reading, right?
