About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Honestly, who does not want a pastry chef to come live at their house?

ABOUT ME

World travelling, swahili-swearing, cupcaking-baking American making his way around the world. I am a resplendent example of how amazing people can truly be. If you don't believe me, let me stay on your couch and I will prove you wrong.

PHILOSOPHY

If you always do what you've always done you will always get what you've always gotten.

Good sailors are not made on calm seas.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have had more people live on my couch at one point or another than I care to think about. I think that the Couch Gods owe me one.

Interests

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies: James Bond, cartoons, anything by Almodovar.

Music: I hate people who say that they love "all music" because it's never actually true. Favorites are soul, motown, electro, rock, and hiphop. Can't really get down with hardcore or jambands, but whatever floats your boat.

Books: I tend to go for the classics more than contemporary novels, but I like to mix it up.... Big fan of Hemingway, Brett Easton Ellis, HG Wells and whatever I can find in the free book exchange.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Met a bunch of cool people, went a bunch of cool places.... stole a tuxedo once. knocked out someone from the Real World (a mormon!). taken konyagi shots with a bunch of tanzanian prostitutes. You know, regular person things.

Teach, Learn, Share

I know more about food history than anyone you will ever meet. I can also cook up just about anything, and tell you why your cakes haven't been turning out right. Or just make you cake. Seriously, who does not want a pastry chef to come to their house?

Countries I’ve Visited

Italy, Kenya, Turkey

Countries I’ve Lived In

Spain, Tanzania, United States
