Chi sono

CURRENT MISSION

To live and share lifes experiences

ABOUT ME

I love to challenge myself in nature and reflect on my experiences. I find people and cultures fascinating and prefer to take part in day to day life then observe.I grew up on New Zealand, born in the north island, studied at Wellington School of Design and later lived in the south island. I once took 12 months (in two 6 month intervals) to circumnavigate New Zealands coastline in a old Ford Falcon, with surfboard and guitar. Left NZ in '97 and lived in Australia for about 2 years working as a Dive Master/Instructor, gradually diving and surfing my way up the east coast from Sydney to Cape Tribulation.Next big move brought me to Malaysia, via Thailand where had my own boat (a wee dream realised).I now co-own and manage a rock climbing center, Camp5, in Kuala Lumpur. As a character I guess I am initially a bit shy, I was always the runt of the class, unless Ive had a few drinks and then its like WHOA where did he come from...ha ha ;)I like to cook, and read when I have the time. I would love to play guitar one day, rather than just strum out old dylan and damian rice songs :) My most spiritual experience was perhaps a 10day silent retreat in a dharma center in Thailand, a experience I long to repeat.I am definately not materialistic and struggle at times to understand why people are so bent on consumerism; Im speaking generally of course. I have a genuine concern for the fate of our planet which is sometimes compromised by a fatelistic belief that we lack the collective empathy and solidarity to pull together to heal our environment. If given a choice I would prefer:A glass of wine over a jager bombA fireside and a good book (or just one or the other) over TVA night sky over neon lightsAlthough, there is a time an place for 'almost' everything :)I guess that pretty much describes me.

PHILOSOPHY

I believe that we all chose our own journey in life, even the hurdles we encounter, no challenge is so great that we cannot overcome it.
