My motto in life: Saying a big "hello!" to someone from every nationality and culture!
Travelling has always been one of my greatest pleasures, and it starts right from entering the airport. Getting cheated, losing your way, feeling miserable from the rain or cold, or even bruising my butt from the uncomfortable bus ride are some of the little things that makes travelling so memorable.
I love to explore! It is exciting to discover new places and meet new people; the world is enormous and I always think that it is a waste of nature's efforts if we just leave this world without looking at every corner of it.
One of my dreams is to simply drop every liability I have at home and walk the world once through. I hope to meet passionate travellers on this journey and learn more about their personal travel experiences!
It only takes an excuse to persuade yourself from doing something you wish to do. But it takes a whole lot of tears and disappointment to look back and realise that you have missed an opportunity to live your passion.
Life is short; there is no time for regret.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I have surfed in a few homes before (outside of couchsurfing) and I am thankful for their hospitality and generosity. It is definitely exciting to meet hosts who are friendly and easy-going!
Also, I really love to share about my culture and my travel experiences. For me, I really hope to inspire the people around me to pick up their bags and walk around the world. Everyone's travel experience is different and every story has an amazing memory attached to it. I hope to share my stories and hear your stories too!
Travelling (taking scenic walks, trekking, camping, visiting local areas)
Making new friends, learning more about different cultures
Starting a social enterprise
Music, Movies, and Books
I am a fan of Chinese music such as those of F.I.R, A-lin, Zhang Yu, A-mei, Sun Yan Zi. I also love the American and English rock and pop music of the 1990s.
If you happen to be a follower of behavioural economics and popular psychology, you probably might have an interesting talk with me (but I don't read that much, so don't have high hopes).
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Riding a motorbike on a wide, deserted highway with the occasional pedestrians looking at you strangely.
Oh, did I mention that there was a country-wide strike with armed police and military posts all over, and that no vehicles were allowed on the roads?
What I Can Share with Hosts
Stories, fun and laughter. I believe that laughter is the most powerful human emotion. It breaks down barriers between people, bridges the bonds between people and gives you a sense of familiarity even with people whom you are meeting for the first time.
