About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Breathing, figuring it out, enjoying, learning more musical instruments, becoming more and more part of the solution.
ABOUT ME
I'm 38, into understanding reality and untangling things, I have a daughter who is 12, my own apartment near the forest in Helsinki. I grew up in Alaska out in the villages, which is something unusual, and in a fundamentalist religion, which isn't as unusual as it should be. Theorizing the logics of fundamentalisms/nationalisms is something I like to do. My interest in martial arts led me to meditation, and I have been a meditator. I dig snowboarding and poetry, making clay sculptures and taking photographs, explaining complicated shit, blaspheming, and learning all the time. I'm into reducing my ego, getting FREE, enlightenment, being here and now, rainbow gatherings, alternative communities, peace and love and mixed martial arts. I lift weights regularly and hit the heavy bag, go to product kickoff meetings at worldwide corporate headquarters, ride my cyclocross bike through the forest at blazing speeds, have a quick wit, and am tall dark and handsome. I am extremely easy-going but energetic. I have decided to spend my time an energy with people I don't have to convince, but haven't actually achieved that so well yet. I know how to hunt but go for months as a vegetarian sometimes. I am from the USA but don't really think of myself as American anymore. I don't know if that's 'All' about me, but it's something.
PHILOSOPHY
take it easy, man! and: 'the unexamined life is not worth living.' That'll do for now.

Interests
A lot mentioned above, but: philosophy, sculpting and painting, poetry, physical fitness, justice, snowboarding, working on things (cars, motorcycles, whatever needs fixing), alternative communities and ways, green-ness, alternative building styles, pretty much any subject, actually, i find interesting - physics is interesting lately, achieving goals is interesting.

Music, Movies, and Books
ugh.... There are too many to list. All kinds of music except for modern US country music, hardstyle-type techno, and mindless pop and gangsta rap. Everything else is interesting, probably. Movies - a favorite is cool hand luke. Books - too many to list - how can you name favorites? or is it just that I don't have enough time now to read so nothing comes readily to mind?
