Overview
About Me
I’m someone who feels at home almost anywhere in the world. Travel has always been a defining part of my life—not just discovering places, but connecting with people and sharing stories. In my twenties, I was an early couchsurfer through The Hospitality Club, a little while before hosting and staying with strangers became more common.
Sleeping in beds between home and Singapore and from Stockholm to Capetown, on matrasses and couches, a futon on a tatami floor, or on the hard rock of a Syrian cave, is what shaped my view of the world. Or better said: cooking together in unfamiliar kitchens, dancing the night away in Istanbul, hosting couchsurfers from Bombay, getting my tire changed in Mugla, and talking deep into the night with people who quickly felt like friends is what has given me a modest window to the humankind's diversity and warmth.
That spirit of openness has stayed with me and is key to how I am currently raising my foster son.
I love welcoming guests with genuine curiosity, warmth, and respect, believing that real connection often starts around a shared table.
I am a manager in marketing and communications by profession: https://www.linkedin.com/in/jeroen-overduin/

Teach, Learn, Share
Happy to have you over in the guestroom of my historic townhouse, give you a tour in the medieval town of Dordrecht, sharing a drink, having a bite and informing you on its history and local culture and habits.
What I Can Share with Hosts
As a guest, I’m easygoing, communicative, and respectful of my surroundings. I enjoy good conversations and I’m always open to new ideas—whether that’s a spontaneous outing, a local tradition, or discovering regional dishes together. For me, travel is at its best when it’s shared: good company, cultural exchange, and getting to know everyday local life matter far more than ticking off sights. I value staying with people who are curious about the world, just as I am, and I truly appreciate being welcomed into the normal rhythm of life wherever I go.
