ABOUT ME
Ordinary boy, book lover. Cross country skiing. Love meeting new people, sometimes turning to solitude.
Recently I've been called "academic pussy". Let it be.
I love learning about new countries, getting to know both the history and the modern stuff. Currently I'm really interested in Middle East. It's story - especially the transition from the Ottoman period, through European colonization to modern times is extremely interesting.
Also - by chance (all that group buying hype)- I've become involved with Polish Internet start-ups, worked for some, been working on some ideas of my own. ALthough now I pursue diffrent goals I still enjoy talking about technology and Internet.
PHILOSOPHY
Personal philosophy is always a simple one as life is simple. Now I think carpe diem is the best philosophy I've heard. Also gnothi seauton - know thyself is pretty amazing. It's seems to be a cliche, but when you start treating it seriously it turns into a huge task.

Music, Movies, and Books
Woody Allen's "Anything else". Sometimes I think it is the only film I've seen. I still cannot forget the first time I saw "Matrix" - cyberpunk was so cool, it's a pity it's gone for good now. "The Graduate" - I can watch it over and over again.
There are also some Polish movies, but I won't bother you with titles - when we meet I can tell you all about them.
Books? Babel. Chekhov. Auden. Cavafy. Conrad! Philosophical stuff - mainly ethics. Take that - if you face a dilemma, is flipping a coin a valid form of decision making? Not so obvious.
Early music. Some of the contemporary. World/folk. Classical Persian music is mindblowing.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
On a oil station in the middle of nowhere two begining gang members wanted me to "give them the money". I jumped to the car, they jumped to theirs. There was a movie like road chase. But I escaped.
Not a big deal, now I think about it.
Recently it was topped by the Revolution in Egypt. Such an amazing thing to witness - very serious and grave at moments, but also exilirating at times.
Teach, Learn, Share
