ABOUT ME

I'm an avid musician, studied music my whole life and play piano, cello, organ, guitar, bass and percussion. I'm involved in radio and have been a dj on 91.7 KNWD (Louisiana), 100.5 KTOO (Alaska), 90.5 KSHU (Texas) and currently 102.7 KRNN (Alaska).My current radio show i explore world music from the 50's, 60's, 70's.  Everything from Bollywood, Ska/Rocksteady/Reggae, Cambodian/Thai Garage Rock, Turkish Fuzz to Korean Psychedelic.  You can listen to my past radio shows at www.alaskanscorcher.comI've been living in Juneau, Alaska for the past 3 years and play cello in the Juneau Opera and started my own monthly dance night called "Scorcher" where I spin 60's Ska/Rocksteady, Soul, Garage and World.Music is the foundation of my life.  Constantly learning, playing, writing, recording and teaching.

I've been a member since 2005.  I have both surfed and hosted and am constantly promoting this site be it by simple conversation or on my radio show.COUCHSURFING IS NOT A DATING SITE!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I used it while touring the east coast of the United States and while backpacking in Spain and Morocco.  All in all you get a better understanding of your enviroment and a locals point of view.  Couchsurfing is the way to go.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

In 2006 I bought a one way ticket to Juneau, Alaska without ever been there before.  I didn't know anyone, didn't have a job lined up, no place to live but everything worked out as it always does.
