Overview
About Me
I have lived many lives in my 37 years and have pursued my passions fully. I had worked in the fashion industry for a while and have been present at some of the best fashion shows bot backstage and as part of the audience. I also know where Iman gets her weave done. :)
After some reflection, I decided to study culinary due to my love of food. But in my effort to help others, I went to a school that focused on nutrition and health. I used that knowledge to cook in the kitchen s at work and for friends and family.
Skip forward a few years and the time of change has come again. I have been studying to teach English overseas. In my spare time I hope to explore the world and find out more about other cultures along the way. That's where couchsurfing comes in.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
If you are an artist and a passion chaser like me, you know that passion rarely pays the bills. You may love your work, but it may not allow for piles of money. Couchsurfing is a great idea for the curious and free-spirited that may lack the cash to book a luxury hotel. Besides to me the whole point of travelling is to meet new people in the place you're visiting. I think Couchsurfing brings people closer together in a world weighed down by isolation.

Music, Movies, and Books
Music: Almost anything except for country. I really wish I could be more open minded about county, but ...I just can't. Perhaps because there was no escaping it from where I grew up.
Movies: Sci-fi, Period/Historical Dramas, Horror, Documentaries, Independent films, Foreign films, Fantasy
Most Recent Book: Ageless Body, Timeless Mind by Deepak Chopra
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Why is this question so hard? I don't think I've done anything amazing. I have done things that others before me have done and that others after me will do.
I haven't invented post-its (thumbs up if you know this movie reference) or climbed Mt. Fuji. I haven't cured cancer or proven string theory.
This question is depressing. I can not think of one "amazing" thing I've done. Maybe my definition of "amazing" is too high. This is so subjective.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach you:
- how to cook the perfect boiled egg (no gray around the yolk)
I can learn:
-how you live your life and what you like about it
I can share:
- good conversation, a good meal and a toast to life. L'Chaim!!!
What I Can Share with Hosts
-I can prepare delicious healthy meals (especially for people with allergies)
-I have a few sewing skills.
-I can organize your closet and give a personal style consultation.
-I can clean, but I hate doing it.
-I'll sing songs but I'll be nervous about it.
-I can't really dance that well, but I'll do it.
-I can talk about almost any subject because I love to read. I know a very little bit about a lot of things.
