I'm a 21 year old student from Scotland who has spent the past year studying in Canada and is hoping to keep exploring more of the world. I'm currently travelling Canada, trying to see as much of both East and West as possible and staying in this awesome country for as long as my visa allows!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love going new places but haven't done much solo travelling and am hoping that with couchsurfing I'll be able to challenge myself to go it alone but also meet new, interesting people on the way! I'd really like to show people around Edinburgh (one of my favourite places I've ever been and I'm lucky enough to live there) and hopefully be introduced to new cities in return.

Music, Movies, and Books

Being an English Literature student, the question "favourite book?" makes me panic a bit but up there would be 'The Book Thief' I think, although I haven't read it for years, 'The Kite Runner', and 'Brave New World'.

Movie-wise, 'Les Untouchables' has a pretty strong spot in my heart but the most recent film I saw that really blew me away was 'Arrival' - could talk about that film for hours!

Mainly a chill-out music person but I also love oldie/goldies, sing-along classics and jazz as well as most other types of music. I'm a big fan of the youtube/spotify recommended feature and would very much like to bring it to life and get recommendations from new people.
