Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am traveling to Hawaii for my 30th birthday, and I am doing the trip solo. I've been looking at staying in hotels and it just doesn't seem like the right way to do it. I want to meet new people, and explore the real Hawaii not just the tourist spots. I will be in town from August 19th-23rd. Currently looking for one or possibly multiple places to stay. I would love to meet up with anyone that can show me around as well. Mahalo!
