Hello! I’m Jess, a backpacker, yoga teacher, musician, nanny, and many other things. Currently traveling in Western Europe. As you can see, I’m new-ish to Couchsurfing but am loving the people I have met so far and excited to keep meeting people from this amazing community! I’m excited to host more next time I have a home base.

I am a calm, social, and creative person who gets a lot of joy out of the little things in life. I love to wander around, looking at plants, animals, architecture, and just taking it all in! I connect easily with people I feel comfortable with, and love to learn about each person’s lives, cultures, philosophies, and dreams, while sharing some of my own as well.

I am a sensitive person who thrives on a lot of down time, so even though I love travel and want to see the world, backpacking can be difficult for me. I prefer to travel slowly and get to know each place a little without exhausting myself by traveling every day. For this reason I try not to stay anywhere fewer than 2 nights, and I appreciate your understanding if I sleep a lot or want to stay in to chat, play music, card games, etc instead of going out every night :)

I want to meet open-minded people and get a more authentic experience of the places I visit while avoiding contributing to unfair tourist economies that force locals from their homes. I also want to learn and practice new languages and learn more about every culture. Couchsurfing affirms my belief that most people in this world have good intentions and want to share and connect!

I am more than happy to share my yoga practice (I’m a certified teacher!) as well as vegetarian cooking. I can also help you learn guitar or percussion basics, and maybe we can even write a song together! I am also passionate about languages and would be thrilled to help with your English or Spanish, and even better if you can teach me some of your language.
