Update: We landed back on the East Coast last year and are in the process of settling back in Portland. YaY!

The first time I walked down Congress St in Portland, ME it felt more like home than any small town I grew up in. I have been super blessed to have raised my child in the small city of Portland. Now we are venturing out across our beautiful country to raise awareness around veganism and transgender youth. I'm exploring the couch surfing option as a way of connecting with others, saving money and having that community aspect.

I took my (then) four year old camping in a tent. We went to sleep listening to the waves coming in and out, hiked two mountains, made a friend and felt such joy and vulnerability.
