About Me

Hola! My name is Jess, 24, and from the Philippines. I work as a Sales Development Manager in an IT company here in the Philippines.

I am planning to walk the Camino de Santiago next year through the French way. I will start from France and hopefully to end in Santiago de Compostela in time. Looking to start in September which is actually my birth month, hehehe. I am hoping to finish it in 30 days and perhaps less so I can still go around in Madrid. I know that I am planning months in advance but because I will be leaving work for more than a month, I have to make sure things will go as planned.

I would like to meet people along the way.

If you have questions, with anything you can drop me a message on Facebook:

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

As what my About Me entails above, I’ll be traveling for a month in two foreign countries that I have never thought I’ll be able to set foot on.

Maybe the question is Why am I going to Camino de Santiago?
Apart from the religious beliefs, they said in moments that you’ll be on your own you’ll be able to find yourself. I want to find me and be lost altogether.

Interests

I have so many interests in life. I think that makes me interesting enough :) I always have the hunger and thirst in learning new things and be able to experience them myself.

Music, Movies, and Books

I’m an old soul as my friends tell me :) I listen to classical music and read classical books too. I studied English at uni which gave me such an advantage because literature is one of my passion. Also, I’m a bit of a geek too. I love SciFi films!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I am spontaneous :) I remember skipping ten days in class because I went away with my friends in Coron, Palawan (if you haven’t been there, please come!). I booked my flights the day before we had to leave. So far it was the best experience ever. Being able to see the stars 180 degrees, hearing the waves at night, feel the sand on your feet, the planktons at night, I can still remember everything!

Teach, Learn, Share

I have nothing but my own experiences and I know it may not be enough but I am willing to share them to you as you share yours. I’m a good listener but can also be talkative at times. I’ll help whenever I can. Filipinos are known to be hospitable and I carry that wherever I go as possible.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can share some of my experiences and stories. I’m also willing to cook Filipino dishes.

Countries I’ve Visited

Cambodia, Malaysia, Thailand, Viet Nam
