Hey guys!

My partner Hidalgo and I are currently living in Medellin, Colombia! After years of travel I chose to move here for a few months to travel but then fell in love with the city and have been here for 3 years now. I was born and raised in Canada and have also lived in Vietnam and Australia. Hidalgo is Colombian - from the Caribbean coast but has been living here for 17 years now. Medellin is a vibrant city and great place to experience music, food, culture - there are also plenty of nearby towns great for day trips.

We absolutely love traveling when we can and meeting new people! If you ever have tips for us about countries or questions for us about Colombia - please don't hesitate to message! :)

My first Couchsurfing experience was a few summers ago in Europe. I can't even begin to explain how it has changed my perspective on people and ways of travel. This site has introduced me to an amazing lifestyle and even more amazing people. This is an AWESOME way to meet people / locals and get to know the surrounding area!

New places and new faces! Very excited to learn about new cultures and share ours. Spontaneous and keen to open our world. We enjoy going for dinner or trying new recipes, meeting friends for a drink or to show them the best of our city.

We love sharing our cultures and experiences. We have been hosting in Medellin and always look forward to doing some surfing when we travel. Whether its help with English or Spanish, sharing cooking/meals or just sharing a coffee or drink - we really want you to get to know our city from a local perspective. We like to be clean, respectful and open with our guests.. Same goes for our hosts when we are surfing!
