ABOUT ME

This is a tricky one.. To start off, my name is Jessica. I've recently graduated from the University of California Berkeley and like everyone on here, consider myself to be outgoing, friendly, adventurous. I get excited about everything--especially traveling. I love meeting new people from different cultures and backgrounds which is why I love this site so much. My obsessions are yoga, hiking, and baking/cooking so I'd love to meet some other food-loving yogis out there. Additionally, I enjoy learning languages so if you have a few key phrases that will get me through your country, I open and willing to learn.

Ultimately I consider myself a nomad and often get restless and am constantly in dreamland mentally planning the next adventure. My new kick has been bicycle touring and more or less doing a trip off the grid. Still...we'll see.

PHILOSOPHY

To be happy and just enjoy life! Ideally I'd like to make some sort of positive net impact on the world and spread joy and happiness. Smiles and laughs are contagious and the best medicine...etc etc. Hippie enough for ya?! ;)

I've had nothing but positive experiences from the Couchsurfing community and would really love to contribute back. For the time being I'm settled again and would love to welcome travelers from around the world. :)

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Wonderful! The people I have met are amazing--I think everyone should travel this way. Generally, I appreciate it most when we have long talks about politics, current issues, education, whatever. Every culture is so unique and I find the subtle differences the most fascinating.
