ABOUT ME

I'm a laid back easy going dude. I'm creative, outgoing and enthusiastic. I don't take life too seriously and make light of most situations. Playful, happy, and imaginative I always try to make fun out of each moment. My inner child is very alive. Life is too precious to waste focusing my attention on all the dross in life. Let's live and be free!!

PHILOSOPHY

Be Happy. Always. Without fail. Pursuing this philosophy through practicing the spiritual teachings of the many Saints and Sages that have lived amongst us through the millenia. Especially those Yogis who have been guiding me on my path in this lifetime.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Right now I am starting to travel independently and want to explore the couch surfing community abroad. I'm still a little shy about meeting people through this network because I don't have much experience with it. Though the one experience I've had so far was really cool so I look forward to meeting more couch surfer hosts and eventually hosting others once I am settled down a bit more.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I was first introduced to couch surfing when my friend was hosting a bunch of couch surfers a few years ago. Since then I have used once on my own travels. It was really great. Manny really went all out to show me around and cater to my tastes. I look forward to more opportunities.

兴趣

I find pleasure in all of the creative arts. I love going out to see live music, theater, movies, art shows etc. I studied art in college and love to draw. I'm also a drummer and have done some creative writing. I love to collaborate in all of these forms and get a deep sense of purpose when I do so. Besides the arts the biggest influence in my life is my yoga practice. I spend much of my time meditating, reading inspirational scriptures, and self study/contemplation. I love to discuss my philosophy but more important I try to apply the teachings by bringing joy to others through service. I constantly seek out artists, musicians and entrepreneurs in my community to engage and follow what they are doing and seeing how I can participate. Of course traveling is another HUGE inspiration in my life as meeting new people from diverse backgrounds nurtures my sense of humanity and deepens my understanding of life.

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

Well the Grand Canyon was a big one. I really felt a deep connection with the earth there. Something about it felt ancient and wise. I only stopped for a few hours but it left a huge impression. I left feeling at peace and have had a desire to return there ever since. I recently visited a place called Panther Falls in Virginia with some friends and I can honestly say I had never dreamed of a place so beautiful. The swimming hole was surrounded by boulders, forest and clear blue sky. There were several tide pools that you could jump into from the rocks and the sound of the rushing water added to the atmosphere. Everyone there had smiling faces as they played in the natural water park. It was awesome. I was really feeling like I was in paradise. There are many other places I've seen and many cool things I've done but often the things that strike me the most are the simple acts of compassion and kindness that living beings share with one another. Mmm, that just makes me happy to be alive :)
