I'm an Emergency Room Nurse!

ABOUT ME

I have about a thousand interests. I've traveled all over the globe and visited some 30 some countries. I guess that means I have about 160 more to go! I've just recently become a registered nurse but I've done clinical mission work on occasion for the last 20 years, most recently in Haiti following the earthquake. I'm an EMT and a firefighter. I've skydived and SCUBA'ed and flown in all types of crazy things from blimps to powered parachutes. I'm an inventor and an artist. I love photography, stained glass, metalworking, woodworking, and more. I've been with the love of my life, Sharon, for the last 35 years. Together we've raised our five kids who are now grown and out on their own. We've had some huge challenges in our lives but we've also been blessed beyond measure.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

So far I've just surfed a couple of times and attended a couple of functions. That said, I've loved each experience! As a person who has always preferred staying in hostels to hotels, I'm already sold on the whole CS thing. To me, travel is more about the people you meet than the places you see. CS'ing seems to be a truly great way to meet a bunch of really great people.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

After a really stressful week, Monica took my hand and led me on an amazing adventure up and down Hollywood Blvd. I couldn't have asked for a better stress reliever! Don't worry, Monica... what happens in Hollywood stays in Hollywood!
