About Me

"The goal of life is living in agreement with nature" Zeno

Live and enjoy the moment! Positivity is key to everything! Flow like nature! Everything will be fine and work out!

Hi there! I'm Jesse from New Zealand! Would love to meet wonderful people, explore captivating places and gain intuition and knowledge from exploration. Very knowledgeable and would be very keen to learn and share knowledge and vibe with others. Deep conversations are my favourite pass time! I am an experienced hitchhiker who's hitchhiked in a number of countries and has fallen in love with hitchhiking. Henceforth this means I am an extreme traveller. In addition to hitchhiking I also do other extreme travel methods like visiting war zones lol 😱😱😱😱! I am also keen on doing a bit of train hopping in the future and also bringing myself a tent and a sleeping bag so I can camp out in the wild next time! ⛺⛺⛺⛺

I consider myself a traveler. Everywhere I go, I explore the interesting places, culture and people. One should not only explore locations but also the culture and people. I always wanna get a good look at the local people and culture. I see the beauty in everything, even the most mundane and boring places. Nothing is purely bland or boring! See the beauty in everything by looking within. Appreciate the beauty of the world and behold! I am open to travelling to any place in the world and to be no such place is boring.

I am an experienced hitchhiker as I try hitchhiking in many countries that I visit. I also don't mind trying out other extreme travelling lifestyles such as vagabonding and train surfing! Extreme travel really does open ur mind to the vast unexplored world! It enables personal growth, character development and increases personal confidence and makes u navigate life even easier.

I personally would recommend everyone to do at least one big world trip in their lives! It is hugely beneficial as it truly opens your mind to the world, expands your visions, knowledge, increases confidence and maturity.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Would love to meet new people and would love to vibe with others. Couchsurfing to me isn't a platform for free accomodation or simply crashing into other's homes. It's a platform that is used to connect and bond with others and build and establish unique human connections. It is used to build amazing and memorable life events. I love sharing stories, interests and memories with other people.

Personally speaking, i am not a tourist but a traveler and explorer. I not only explore touristy things but also the local life and scene and i love to immerse myself in the local culture and also meet locals. Travelling isn't just about going to tourist sites and taking photos before posting them to Instagram but is about truly discovering what a place really is. Tourist sites don't fully convey the real place's character! This is why i love Couchsurfing! Couchsurfing is a platform that allows you to connect with locals and other people and helps with cultural exchange and makes lifelong and memorable memories. It is a place to gain life experience and to have fun. Last and not least, Couchsurfing is not free accommodation or a hotel!!!

Hitchhiking and extreme travelling

I am an experienced hitchhiker who's hitchhiked in a number of countries including Morocco, Turkey, Macedonia, Georgia and Armenia. I discovered the art of hitchhiking 6 months into my first world trip. One of the best discoveries I made in my life. ⛺⛺⛺⛺

History

Personally I've been a major history nerd for my entire life. Traveling is something that fuels this passion as I would love to see where ancient rome one stood and where important historical events happened. Knowing history is important for building the future.

Geography

Geography is very interesting for me as I get to learn about different countries, different cultures and see how vast the world really is. Geography is why I love traveling

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

---Travelled in London and spent little to no money on the food i got by using the app Olio :)

---Went a free concert of my favourite band in London!

---London being the cheapest place I've been to in my travels so far due to all the life hacks of me getting free food, accommodation, concerts and discounts for public transport and more!

--Lived in London for under 4£ a day

--Discovering the YouTube channel The Hack Official which helped me save hundreds or even thousands.

---At one time owning 4 phones (don't ask me why it's so embarrassing 😭😭😭😭. Financial mishaps). I still own three of them lol

---Accidentally crossing the French-Italian border without a passport 😱😱😱😱

--Hitchhiked in Morocco, Turkey, Macedonia, Georgia and Armenia! 👍👍👍

--Visited the non touristy parts of Turkey where no one had ever seen a foreigner before. The Turks were legit going up to me and taking selfies with me since this was their first time seeing an Asian in their lives 😍😍😍😍😍😍

--Hitchhiked with dangerous and drunk drivers! 😱😱😱😱

--Visited the Armenian Azerbaijan border aka one of the most dangerous borders in the world due to frequent armed clashes between the two sides. I even saw nagarno karabakh/Artsakh from the border! 😱😱😱😱😱😱😱
