Hello,

In August 2016, I set off on a 9 month trip around the Eastern Hemisphere! After working in finance for eight years, I thought it was time to see the world :-). I'm looking forward to learning about and experiencing local culture! On my way, I'll be doing financial consulting remotely, for clients in the United States. I also am blogging about my experiences at JesseJourneys.com, and just started a pod cast about startup ecosystems around the world, called Startup Journeys.

I love reading non-fiction, and specifically biographies. I recently read the bio of Ben Franklin by Walter Isaacson, and it was fantastic. I also love classic rock, jam band music, and jazz. The bands I listen to the most are Grateful Dead and Phish. I'm not much of a movie buff, but I do enjoy dramas and comedies..

I built a house for a family of 7 in Kenya as part of a Habitat for Humanity trip. It was a-maz-ing. Love the people, culture, and beautiful country. Did a two day safari after and saw the whole Lion King.

I can cook a good breakfast or dinner, and teach my hosts about technology investing, if they are interested! I also used to work professionally as a close-up magician, and so I can show my hosts some pretty cool card tricks.
