ABOUT ME

I live in Portland, Oregon and I work in the camera department at a stop-motion animation studio (animating puppets, one frame at a time!).

I play various stringed instruments, mostly the guitar and banjo. I love to surf on the Oregon coast. My favorite way to explore a new city is on foot. Also by eating a lot.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

My friend Tim (my one reference) has been telling me stories of surfing and hosting, and what wonderful people he met and what wonderful adventures they had. I want in!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

When I was 15 my father took me with him to Siberia for the summer, with a group of his colleagues, to record folk songs of the Old Believers. We spent two months driving in a big old bus on dirt roads to little villages, recording old women singing beautiful old songs, swimming in rivers and lakes. Best summer of my life to date.
