CURRENT MISSION

To figure out who I am and what my purpose is this time around.

ABOUT ME

I just graduated from the University of Colorado at Boulder with a Bachelors degree in Applied Mathematics. I have no idea what my life looks like past this very moment, which scares me to pieces, but is exhilarating and wonderful at the same time.

I love food! I'm allergic to gluten, cow dairy, and soy, so I've gotten fairly creative in my cooking over the years.

Other than that, I'm just learning to live the dream, one day at a time.

PHILOSOPHY

I think singing, traveling, and laughing are like oxygen for the soul.

I've only surfed once so far, but that will be the only way I travel from now on.

And as soon as I figure out where my life will plant me, my couch is your couch! Until then, I'm living with my parents, so I can't host, unfortunately :(

I surfed Eleonore's couch in Paris, France, which was amazing! Definitely a highlight of my trip.

Music, Movies, and Books

I like all sorts of movies: comedy, drama, action, and I'm always up for a good chick flick. I cannot, however, watch horror movies, despite the many attempts of my friends to cure me of this. I dislike television (and haven't watched it in about five years) and therefore know next to nothing about pop culture these days...

As far as music goes, I'll listen to just about anything. Some unwavering favorites in no particular order: John Mayer, Sarah McLachlan, The Goo Goo Dolls, The Fugees/Lauryn Hill, Shawn Colvin, Amos Lee, A Tribe Called Quest, Maroon 5, James Taylor, The Beatles (duh), Frou Frou, Fiona Apple, and probably anything in Zach Braff's music collection (check out the soundtracks from Garden State and The Last Kiss). But I also love jazz, hip-hop, and latin music, and I'm just starting to dabble in classical as well.

I love to read but don't very often, so my list of favorite books is relatively short: everything I've read by Jody Picoult (My Sister's Keeper in particular), Eat, Pray, Love, The Time Traveler's Wife, and Harry Potter and the DaVinci Code like everyone else.

Teach, Learn, Share

I know how (and love!) to cook, sing, do math, and, you know, speak english.

I want to discover new cultures and meet new people. A life goal of mine is to learn to speak as many languages as a person can possibly fit into one brain. Especially french, but only because I already speak some.
