ABOUT ME

Hello, my name is Jesse, nice to meet you! After graduating from college in 2010, I decided I wanted to live and work on a farm for a little bit. Well, needless to say, six years later I have completely devoted myself to a life in agriculture. I have studied and worked with permaculture, practiced edible landscape design (think backyard veggie gardens), homesteaded in the country, and I currently work on an 18-acre organic vegetable farm on an island just outside of the wonderful city of Portland, Oregon. I love what I do, and I am always excited to learn more about the incredible bounty this magical planet has to offer.

PHILOSOPHY

Life is such an amazing and beautiful gift, and it is so absolutely wonderful how many different ways it can be lived. In my own life, I try to stay as productive as possible, learn as much as I can, and have FUN! Also, kindness and love are my best friends, and I do my best to share them as much as possible.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I am new to the couchsurfing network, so please be nice to me!!! I have yet to host any surfers or surf on any couches, but I am looking forward to some new experiences in the near future :) I am very open to the world and all of us the inhabit it, and I am always blown away by the niceness of strangers and the incredible connections that are just waiting to be made!
