Hey I am Jess and I have just come to Couchsurfing in the past year. I come from a city just outside of Toronto, Canada. I have traveled to a variety of different countries solo, with friends and with tour groups. I mainly stay at hostels and Airbnb's but sometimes will give Couchsurfing a try to get the real local experience. I have been to 6 out of the 7 continents with 27 countries under my belt. My favourite past times are cooking, eating, binge watching series, traveling, booking/researching traveling, hiking and experiencing new things.

I am on Couchsurfing to mix up the type of accommodation I typically use while traveling (hostels and Airbnb's). I am interested in getting a local's perspective on the places I am traveling instead of what is usually found in a guidebook/ guide blog. I am hoping to meet some amazing people and see some wonderful sites.

I am a huge Potterhead. I've read the whole Harry Potter Series probably a hundred times.

I mainly enjoy rock and alternative music but on occasion don't mind some top 40s and 90s throwbacks. I am a big fan of Karaoke.

Just to name a few top movies and series the Dark Night Series, Harry Potter Series, Breakfast at Tiffany's, Hairspray.

I don't mean to brag but I've done a dozen amazing things. Some highlights included stepping out of my comfort zone and fighting my fear of heights by skydiving, hot air ballooning and zip-lining.

I am currently learning basic Spanish and attempting to re-learn French (as a Canadian you learn French for 5 years of school). I am willing to teach English. I am willing to share my crazy travel and work stories.
