‘When was the last time you did something for the first time?’

Recently this quote has become very relevant to me. When I turned 31 I realised that I hadn’t done anything new in a long time, if ever in fact. I spent so many hours at work that I was becoming a burned out bore and not living life to the full, so when I was unexpectedly given 5 weeks off for Christmas, I decided to finally take the plunge and do what I’d always dreamed off. Hence here I am! It’s a little bit scary going out of my comfort zone but I’m so excited to see where this mini adventure takes me.
My dad had a stroke when I was young which left him paralysed from the neck down. He was never one to shy away from adventure or new experiences so he is now my inspiration for doing things that make me happy!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

To meet new people and learn about different cultures. I want to get to know a place like a local, not just a tourist.
