Hi ! We are Jess and Jean, a french couple living near Paris, in the beautiful city of Vincennes. Actually this is not just the two of us because we share our place with a little furryball named Sabah.
Jean is originally from the south of France, it's in his DNA to be the more talkative one ! He is never against a good (or a bad) joke ! I (Jess) am from the region of Paris, and I tend to think that I am a good listener, this is why it was a perfect match !
We are both digital project managers but recently we left our jobs for a few months to do what we like the most : explore the world. We started a great trip across the american continent in January 2022 in Argentina and we expect to end it in September in NYC.
At home, Jean is the sporty one : trail, running... A healthy mind in a healthy body could be his credo. I (Jess) am more the creative one : pottery, photography (but I am also an occasional runner). As a couple we love cultural activities such as theater or art exhibitions, but most of all having a good meal at a restaurant. As we really enjoy good food we try our best to cook for ourselves and our friends.
We like games : videos games, VR games, escape games, but we have to admit that sometimes it can get a little too intense :D

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

We want to get the most out of our trip : getting to know better a culture, a population by experiencing it "from the inside", knowing more about you and your life.

We think that the best way to discover a place is through the eyes of their inhabitants. So your tips and opinions will be very valuable to us !

We would like to welcome people from other cultures to make them discover Paris and the beautiful Vincennes.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

We experienced two earthquakes together : the first one in Iceland while hiking and the second one in Peru in Colca canyon. Those were not big ones but the sensation was unbelievable !
More recently, we had the chance to see the Fuego in Guatemala, an active volcano. It exploded every 10 minutes during the wholde night, the most incredible experience in our lives.
Another great adventure was leaving our jobs to travel 9 monts across the american continent : this project is actually ongoing :)

Teach, Learn, Share

We are big food lovers, we really enjoy cooking and learning new recipes. We would be glad to share some tips and recipes about french gastronomy : french toasts, crepes, ratatouille, chocolate cake...
We would also be happy to help you learn some french and obviously the couchsurfing is for us a great way to work on our language skills (english and spanish).
We visited a few countries and that would be a pleasure to share our knowledge and help you organize your future trips.
We like photography and film making, if you also have this passion we would be pleased to learn from you.
We are big animal fans, so if you have a pet it is even better for us.
