I am a positive, outgoing person who has a love for life and a very care-free personality! I am adventurous and loves to explore new places and meet new people. I am a huge animal lover and have always been involved with animal activism since I was a kid. My husband and I both live a vegan lifestyle and have 12 fur-kids. We rescued 3 crazy yet lovable dogs, 4 cats, 2 guinea pigs, 2 chinchillas and 1 rabbit. I also volunteer for local animals shelters and foster animals. Besides my busy life of helping animals, I work full time as an educator. I enjoy teaching children especially about ways to be more compassionate towards others and animals and on ways to help our environment.

I grew up in Jamestown, NY. After college, my husband and I moved to California and lived in Pasadena for about 4 years. While living there I kept busy by working on different movie and tv sets doing background work. We decided to move back east in 2007 to Erie PA to be closer to our families.

I am very active in the community and started The Erie Vegan Meetup Group. I really enjoy meeting others and having meaningful conversations and spending time with others that share the same interests. There is so much that we can all learn from each other.

I'm couchsurfing because well for one I'm on a budget but mostly I really enjoy taking part in and learning about the culture that I am exploring. I would rather stay with someone local that can really tell me about the area that I am staying in and hopefully help me feel a part of it. The best part is meeting new people and making new friends!

兴趣

I love the outdoors! I enjoy hiking, going for walks, running and taking part in races. I love to work out and attend classes like insanity, piyo, yoga, etc. I love sports and was a rookie on our local roller derby team. I had to take some time off due to injury and furthering my education with taking on-line courses. I enjoy hanging out with friends and family, going to concerts (huge DMB fan), checking out local bars and trying the specialty beers in the area. My husband and I like to collect growlers. I also love photography and skiing. I love animals and helping out organizations such as local shelters but I'm also friends with lots of national organizations and attend and volunteer at their fundraising events and conferences.

I LOVE music! I am HUGE Dave Matthews Band fan and have been seeing them every year since 94! I really love all kinds of music and you would find every type of genre on my ipod. I also am a huge Madonna fan and love the 80's hits!

I enjoy watching movies. I'm hooked on Netflix. I love watching series shows and checking out indie flicks!

I love to read, it's finding the time to do so is what I have trouble with. I enjoy sharing my books on veganism, healthier eating and animal rights and helping the environment with others.

After community college I took a year off and traveled with the organization Up With People. It was such an amazing experience (Cast B 99-00 for any of you Uppies). My cast of 150 people traveled USA, Europe and Canada for a year. Besides performing, we stayed with host families in every city we toured and took part in community service projects in every city.

I have been working in education since 2007. I really think it's important to help teach our youth and others. Everyone can learn from each other. We all come from different places, have different backgrounds and that is what makes us all special and unique.
