About Me
*Now live in Taichung and Taipei.*
Hi! I’m Jessica, a 24-year-old freelancer from Taiwan. I major in Anthropology. I just graduated in 2024 and now I'm trying to make some interesting video to introduce Taiwan.
(If you're interested in my video, you can watch it here: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCxjveT3n1b1Grnfx-6Qy7jQ) (Hope you like it! :))
I love cooking and baking. Sometimes I try to cook something new to challenge myself.
I like to listen to music, especially J-pop, classical music and folk music.
I enjoy exercising. I go to the gym and play volleyball regularly.
I love to learn new things through reading, watching videos and visiting museums and exhibitions.
I wish that I can travel around the world one day, immerse myself in different cultures and be familiar with the surrounding environment and people around the world.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I was an exchange student from 2022 to 2023 in Finland, which gives me an opportunity to travel to countries far away from my hometown. The reason why I’m on Couchsurfing is because I want to make friends with local people with different backgrounds, which enables me to know more about the country and the local culture.
Now I'm in Taiwan, basically in Taichung and Taipei. If you come to Taiwan and want to hang out (or maybe make video together), just send the message!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
By selling my notes taken in high school, I donated all the profits to World Vision every month on a regular basis. Though I stopped selling the notes and the profits had been totally spent, I still keep donating until today to support the organization. Through emails sent by World Vision, I realize that the locals and their living environment get better because of new facilities and children having more access to school. Everything is worth it!
Teach, Learn, Share
I enjoy eating and cooking! If there are ingredients and equipment, I can make some pastries or Taiwanese food to share with you. In addition, I love music and I can play the piano and ocarina, maybe we can play the instruments and sing together! Besides, if you like to learn languages, I can teach you how to speak and write in Chinese, or maybe a little Japanese, Spanish or Finnish because I’m still a beginning learner.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I spent ten days visiting seven arts and crafts workshops founded by indigenous people around Taiwan and interviewing them for their background and experience in the industry. Afterwards, I held an exhibition to present the stories and findings of the trip. I can share all of my experiences and hobbies mentioned above with you. Hope we can mutually broaden our horizons as well as find beautiful things in the world!
