About Me

I am currently a Senior studying abroad at the American College of Thessaloniki, in Greece. I live in Idaho and attend Northwest Nazarene University full time. I am kind, funny, and I love to help people. I major in Communication Science and minor in psychology. I have been told I'm a great listener. I am new to traveling and already I know that the traveling life is the one for me. I love meeting new people and making new friends of any background, ethnicity, or culture.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am trying very hard to embrace every aspect of traveling and becoming an independent worldly person. Many of the new friends I have made here in Greece talk highly of couchsurfing. They explain that it really is the best way to immerse yourself into the culture and bypass the touristy type of traveling. The better question would be Why would I not try out couchsurfing? The answer is, I canot find a reason not to!

Music, Movies, and Books

I am a singer so it is very difficult to pick just one genre of music. Therefore, the two types of music you can find me most listening to is, 50s and 60s or folk/indie.
i.e. Elvis Presley and the Civil Wars

My favorite movie is "A Few Good Men" or "Harry Potter" (all of them)

My favorite book is "The Great Gatsby or "The Iliad"

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Climb Mt. Olympus. It was by far the most physically demanding/memorable and rewarding things I have ever done in my whole life! I'd go as far as to say it was euphoric and changed me forever.

Teach, Learn, Share

Teach love and forgiveness
Learn kindness and patience
Share laughter and stories

What I Can Share with Hosts

There is a quote by the Dalai Lama that I like very much and answers this in the best way. "Old friends pass away, new friends appear: It is just like the days. An old day passes, a new day arrives. The important thing is to make it meaningful: a meaningful friend or a meaningful day." I want to be able to take them out and treat them to a meal or drink for allowing me into there home. I want to share conversations and stories with them and hope that when I leave I made a fond impression on them.
