About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Go outside of the continental US, especially to Japan. 日本語を少し話します。日本語を習いたいです。 Visit the Northwestern United States, Northeastern United States, and California more.
ABOUT ME
I am a married systems engineer / software developer working for Visa in Highlands Ranch, Colorado, but for the previous 8 years I was working for Texas A&M University IT in College Station, Texas. I am apolitical, progressive, a nerdfighter, and I generally get along with anybody. I'm an introvert that has learned to be extroverted depending on the situation, so while I enjoy going out and traveling and 'doing all the things', I also very much value and enjoy quieter pursuits even if I no longer make enough time for them.
PHILOSOPHY
I try to do the best I can with the tools I have and thinking positive, while still reminding myself that I don't have to BE the best (still hard to learn). I like helping people out and would like to decrease some "worldsuck". I have been actively trying to work on becoming a nicer and more considerate person.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I always enjoy meeting new and interesting people that may have the same interests that I have, and I love traveling and want to travel more abroad.
Interests
I love all sorts of fandoms/media, and my interests tend to the nerdy. I love videogames, Nerdfighteria, science & tech, renaissance faires, diversity & social justice & gender equality, spas, cross-stitch, perler-bead crafts, board games, card games, anime, comics, sci-fi books, films and the critical analysis thereof, Youtube, Master Pancake /RiffTrax (live MST3k performances), and I am a former D&Der (3rd edition).
