Environmental restoration in the Puget Sound, Michigan and the Palmyra Atoll

Cooking: I love the whole process: researching, growing, acquiring ingredients, cooking and serving meals. I even love doing the dishes (as far as favorite chores go). I rolled sushi at a popular MI restaurant for a year and a half; I have a huge appreciation for the technique and hard work that goes into something so simply presented.

ABOUT ME
If you're familiar with the Enneagram, I'm a Type 5 (The Investigator). I love learning, reading, trying new things and traveling. Hoping to visit all seven continents before too long!

I'm pretty easygoing and low-maintenance, patient and love a good laugh. I have been called graceful, gentle, insightful. I care a lot about good communication, whether its personal or professional; and good design, whether its in art, dishware, websites, food or pencils. I also love plants and plant identification.

INTERESTS
I row, hike, run, camp, climb and snorkel; anything new and adventurous.

Traveling between volunteering and seasonal jobs and looking for friendly places to stay. I'm usually on short trips, but I want to see as much as I can. Hoping to hike, eat awesome food, have a good time.

Current living situation is too small to host, but hopefully that'll change in the future.

Lived on a remote, isolated island for three months in the Central Pacific!
I was part of a crew of 8, and I cooked 6 days/ wk and worked on restoring the native vegetation.

Happy to cook a meal or two! Mainly vegetarian. I also love to bake, and love teaching people about food and cooking technique.

I'm clean, quiet and happy to help with chores.

I've traveled a fair bit and have had tons of cool experiences, but you have to draw it out of me.
