Right now: I’m currently on a roadtrip with a Canadian friend of mine across America and Canada.

I’m a university student who was just finished up a year abroad studying in Canada. I love travelling and exploring all aspects of the world, including different countries, climates, cuisines, and cultures. My passion for travel definitely was instilled into me by my parents who are both avid travellers and definitely adopt an “off the beaten track” approach to travelling.

I like to pride myself in being someone who can get along with almost anybody and really enjoying meeting and spending time with new people. I believe we all have something to learn from eachother and travelling is a way to enhance that!

I love reading, music, photography, sailing, and rock climbing. I’m vegan and have been involved in a lot of activism and protesting (both within and outside the realm of veganism). I love cooking and learning new things. I grew up just outside of Stratford Upon Avon; so have pretty much had a passion for Shakespeare indoctrinated into me. History is one of my favourite topics to educate myself further on, and I studied various facets of European history till I was about 19.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love meeting new people and getting a local perspective of an area, rather than the (often grossly overpriced) tourist one.

Music, Movies, and Books

I’m a lover of pretty much all kinds of music (except Country). I love going to gigs/concerts as well as enjoying music through my headphones or speakers in my room. Current favourite artists: Peach Pit, 21 Pilots, Billie Eilish, The Wombats, Vampire Weekend, and 2 Door Cinema Club

Whilst on my travels it’s a little harder to keep up with films, however both going to the cinema and sitting down and watching movies with friends are something I love. I enjoy all styles of film; though a compelling documentary or beautifully drawn animation are among my favourites. Current favourite movies: Howl’s Moving Castle, The Imitation Game, Free Solo, Dawn Wall, Princess Monokoke, Cloud Atlas, and Star Wars Trilogy

I’m a firm believer that there’s nothing better in life than a good book. I’m always happy to give out book recommendations, and lend out/give away books. Books I’ve read this year: You, Wild, Chernobyl: A History of Tragedy, This is going to hurt, When breath becomes air, Birdbox, and The Great Gatsby

I’m always happy to chat and swap stories! I love yoga and stretching routines and would be happy to show you some and maybe do a flow together! I’m a massive foodie and am always happy to cook food for people or introduce them to new dishes. Being vegan really forced me to expand my culinary boundaries and try lots of new things, and I love introducing other people to new foods
