Well, my name is Jessica. I'm a 23-year-old working to make not only a living, but also a life. I'm known to be a little out there, but it's always meant in a fun sense of the phrase. I have many interests in many different areas, and I love swapping interests and stories with other people. I was raised a mountain girl here in the Pocono Mountains, so I do enjoy a dose of nature every now and again.

When I'm not working, I'm mostly on my laptop playing video games with my friends. If I'm not doing that, I'm probably out watching my musician friends play a show in the nearest city (Philly or NYC). (I'm always traveling about two hours on those nights.)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Travel has always been a major interest of mine, but my almost crippling depression and anxiety, in the past, always kept me from actually making the adventures in my head become a reality. After living in a small population for so long, you know almost everyone there is to know, and it makes you yearn for more because you know there's a whole world out there waiting for you to explore it a bit.

Since I also drive a lot for shows, I think it would be a great opportunity for me to find places to crash on some late nights as well as meet someone new in the city/cities I've visited and left quite a few times. (Plus, $200 hotels are no bueno.)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

My best friend (who recently passed away) and I spent two weeks together doing press work on the Vans Warped Tour back in 2014. Rather than being excited by meeting so many bands, I treated the experience as an opportunity to break myself out of my shell and become the confident, social person I'd always imagined I could eventually be.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Due to living in the Poconos, I have plenty of stories involving deer and bears and hiking through interesting areas. I also have experience residing in the Lehigh Valley area (mostly near Allentown and Bethlehem) from my time attending college in Kutztown. I also have a bunch of interesting music industry stories, both from being on a festival and having musician friends scattered throughout Philadelphia and New York City.
