I'm Jessica! Born and raised in a subtropical island paradise touristic beach city named Florianópolis (Brazil), but currently living in Mareeba.
I'm a creative person, an eternal lover of nature. I always have lived in a house with animals and a lot of ornamental plants, orchids, medicinal herbs and fruit trees that I take care of with much love. Because of this passion for plants and also a desire to make agriculture better (with fewer chemicals and more positive life balance), I decided to study Agronomy, at an important public university of Brazil.
I also love handwork jobs. I've painted my house and I like to build small stuffs with wood (like a dog's house), also love handmade crafts like croché, macrame and dreamcather. I love to cook and bake, and I do it very well :)
Me and my mom have a Hostel, which is: Hostel Nossa Casa (ig.: @hostelnossacasa) and we work very hard receiving tourists and doing all kind of jobs every summer. I used to have a small production of Kombucha (@kombuchadeusa) that I commercialized on street markets around the city.
I have the backpacker spirit and definitively LOVE travel! I enjoy so much knowing people, stories, foods, culture and the diversity of mother nature around the world!

My current job is to design and implement government funded projects on sustainable agriculture in Far North Queensland :)

I love read, most medieval fantasy, fiction in general... I like super hero movies, epic fantasy, war stories, adventure and also some animations. I love the classic rocks, my favorite band is Pink Floyd. I can play some guitar and sing, not so good but good enough to satisfy my soul.
