Hey there,

My name on my birth certificate is Jessica, but most people call me Jess, Jay, or by my initials JP. I'm a tall, lanky being who finds public transport rather a cramped ordeal, but will try not to take up too much space in your lovely abode.
I didn't go abroad until I was 17 and since then I've been trying to make up for lost time. I seem to have a soft spot for Scandinavia and the Nordic regions, but would also love to explore other corners of the world. Hopefully March will entail traveling around the Baltic States.

I'm quite a social person by nature, and I like to go out of my way to meet new people. When visiting a new country it's always reassuring staying with people who know the area and can show you the niche parts; makes it more personal, methinks.

兴趣

Music is my first love, but I'm also a fan of reading and going to the cinema, hanging out with my cats. I also like fashion (can't say I know a great deal about it, but it's a lot of fun), I like thinking about gender and sexuality and I could live off pasta probably.

I'm a big fan of Classical music admittedly, and am particularly fond of the 17th and 20th century. Veering away from there I do quite like my '90s trip-hop such as Massive Attack (which I'm going to see them live at the end of the month, very excited) and Portishead, also Goldfrapp, and '90s pop like No Doubt. Also appreciate Radiohead (who doesn't) Prince, Elliott Smith, Mount Kimbie, Sigur Rós, Michael Jackson, Grace Jones, Scissor Sisters, the list goes on and on, yadda yadda...
Film-wise, my top 3 mainstream movies are V for Vendetta, Leon and Dead Poet's Society. I also really like cartoons and world cinema. Any films by Almodovar are a hit with me.
My fave authors are Steinbeck, Murdoch, Fitzgerald, Yates, but have also recently started enjoying more contemporary novelists such as Muriel Spark, Dr Oliver Sacks and Jonas Jonasson.
