About Me

I'm a recent college graduate who has a passion for adventure and learning. I'm a cool cat, and hope to meet like-minded individuals. I talk too much, am often honest to a fault, and I really, really love meeting new people. I just got a job in DC, but it's unpaid through summer training and I need to be in DC in order to find a place to live, so it seems.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

To surf couches. And to be in DC while I look for an apartment and a waitressing job for the next year or so. Couchsurfing sounds like the perfect fit for me- I love meeting people and sharing kindness. I think everyone who hosts strangers for free is pretty darn awesome, don't you?

Interests

Reading, writing (blogging! www.bemuseyourself.com), playing with an abundance of cats, Skyrim, other assorted video games, research, teaching, learning, exploring, going on walks.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I volunteered in Nicaragua for three months teaching English to 50 of the most beautiful souls in the world. My second picture is from my summer there. Gosh, I wish I could go back tomorrow.

Teach, Learn, Share

Teach- through your actions.

Learn- at every opportunity.

Share- smiles.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can cook a mean meal! I offer vitality and positivity. I often offer a new outlook on life, and I am always willing to help out around the house. I'm almost annoyingly respectful (always please & thank yous) and will probably bring you baked goods (gluten free, but delicious) as a thank-you for hosting me! Do you need help with homework or a babysitter for the night? I'm down for that, too.
