About Me

I am an Aupair from Germany living in New Jersey in an awesome hostfamily since September 2017. I really love my time here, especially traveling all over the US. I also love to meet new people, discover new places and do sports.
I would describe myself as an open-minded, funny, positive, curious, reliable, polite, trustful and smart person.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

In my time here in the US I‘d like to see as many places as possible, meet a lot of people from all over the world, see how they live and spend time with them.

Interests

Traveling. I’m trying to travel every weekend I am off. Even if it’s just a day trip somewhere close by, I really wanna use my time to explore the world, meet new people, try new food (I love Japanese food) and different lifestyles. I also like to do sports. I used to to gymnastics back in Germany. Here I go to the gym 3-4 times a week. I like to run, riding my bike, swimming, skiing, hiking and just be active. In my free time, I enjoy going shopping, cooking, spending time with friends, watching movies, reading books, going to Sixflags and do fun activities outside.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love to read and listening to music. I listen to all kind of music, but especially pop and charts. One of my favorite books is Harry Potter. I watch a lot of series on Netflix.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Deciding to live for one year in America. It was the best decision in my life. I found a second home and a second family in New Jersey. I got to see so many different places during that time, not only in the states, also in Mexico and Canada. I met so many different people from all over the world and learned about different cultures. Of course I was able to improve my English. I think going so far from your home country by yourself, really helps you to find yourself, it teaches you how to become more independent and self- confident. I really have widened my horizon that last 18 months.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you German and tell you about the german and also American culture, the differences between these countries, since I’ve lived in both. I have stories to tell and know how to make sushi :)
I always love to learn new languages/cultures and how to cook your favorite dish.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I am an easy going guest. I’d love to get to know you and hope you will show me your home and your life! Looking forward to meet you :)
