Hello! My name is Jessica and I’m an American currently living as an au pair in Paris, France.

I moved to France one week before the first nation-wide COVID lockdown. I came with dreams of traveling Europe, but those have had to be put on hold... UNTIL NOW! :D I'm so excited to finally see more countries. My goal is to get to 10 countries this summer in July and August.

I love meeting new people, learning about a city through the locals perspective and making new friends! As an au pair I don’t have a lot of money to travel, but I don’t let that stop me from seeing as much of Europe as possible as I can. One of the best things about traveling is making friends along the way... you never know when you might reconnect later, or who might become an important and incredible part of your life!

I am currently re-reading the Princess Diaries series, only this time in French! I love re-reading books from my childhood in French. I'm also watching the series "Lupin". Right now, all the music, movie and books I consume center around improving my French... it's hard, but I'm so thankful for the progress I make each day/week/month!

Before I ran away to France I was a middle school English teacher to 160 wonderful (albeit often difficult) 7th graders in Houston and Washington D.C.

I can share my southern Texan culture and help with English conversational practice :) I'm an English teacher by trade and have a lot of experience tutoring and teaching English informally. I can also introduce you to many country songs, the quenticential music of the southern U.S. states. (I can make a spotify playlist for you if you want!)
