Overview
About Me
I'm a true New Mexican born and raised. I grew up in Las Cruces, NM which is about 45 minutes from the US/Mexico border. I began learning German when I was 14 and was fortunate enough to do an exchange program in high school where I spent time in two different cities in Germany. This sparked my passion for traveling and learning languages.
I'm am also very passionate about taking pictures, music, art and immersing myself in new cultures. Currently I'm living in Barcelona, Spain and working as an ESL teacher. I'll be returning to the US in July and I'd like to travel around the beautiful country of Spain a little more before I go.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
My roommate in college used to be on Couchsurfing and we hosted a few different people. It was a really cool experience! Unfortunately I can't host, as I don't have a couch/my place is tiny. I've heard great things about this site and I think it's a wonderful way to meet new people all around the world.
Interests
Aside from what I mentioned in the about me section, I enjoy doing yoga, playing guitar, cooking, baking, spending time with family and friends, and having new experiences. I'm also very into art history and photography, and I'm looking forward to visiting many new places this summer.

Music, Movies, and Books
I love all kinds of music and dancing, although I'm not super into heavy metal. My iPod ranges from classical to German Rap to reggaeton and everything in between. My favorite band is MUSE. I also enjoy acoustic guitar and I pretty much can't go anywhere without my book, reading is one of my passions. I don't have a favorite genre, but I do like reading fiction, mysteries, series novels, or anything just plain weird (one of my favorite authors is Franz Kafka).
I love watching movies, my favorites being anything Batman, Liam Neeson, or Labyrinth (with David Bowie).
