About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Laugh and Chill

ABOUT ME

I am an adventurous, experienced, sober woman who really enjoys traveling and meeting new people. I love to spend time outside or in a cinema, going to see theater on the stage or in the street, reading or being read to, listening to the radio, and seeing live music. I'm a veteran of the United States Navy from a gig as a translator- they let the hippies in too. I'm pretty crass, but I'm polite.

PHILOSOPHY

I like to wonder at life, people and the world. I hope to be of service to others, to this moment, and to this life.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I've surfed mostly, but if you're in Corvallis, I would love to show you around.

I've used it here and there. I enjoy meeting new people, and I appreciate the friendliness this experience opens us up to.

Music, Movies, and Books

I mostly listen to R&B when I decide to listen to anything, but I love all genres of music. I'm learning to play the ukulele. I'm into music in minor keys these days although Bad Brains still reigns supreme.

I love movies especially the dark and weird ones. I'll go for a comedy over anything else, but those about political struggles really get my heart pounding. Der Baader Meinhof Komplex; Hunger; Iron Jawed Angels; Eagle vs Shark; Safety Not Guaranteed; Death to Smoochy, In Bruges. I mostly avoid romantic comedies & James Franco.

And books...I've been on a path of self-discovery for a minute now, but literature and fiction otherwise.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've climbed Ben Lomond in Scotland.

Rode my bike around Crater Lake in Oregon, USA.

Hiked for five days in Patagonian Chile.

Learned to scuba dive in Ko Tao, Thailand.

Teach, Learn, Share

With the right number of people, I can teach a variety of card games. I love to learn about...anything, everything. Your passion for whatever will amaze me. I love to share in good conversation and home cooked meals. I love food, and have got a low floor and a high ceiling when it comes to cuisine. I could lead you through some yoga.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I could cook for you- It all pretty much comes out soup, but soup's good. Also, if there are four of us in one room, I'd love play Spades or dominoes if you've got'm-
